Your Hopes for the Future.
‘Your hopes for the Future’ has been Inspired by the outcome of the EU referendum and the divide that's arisen. It reaches into a community in a bid to forge connections with people previously unmet. Each of these encounters serves as a small step towards strengthening a personal sense of community as well as that of the participants.
Along the way, people have been invited to sit for a portrait and then asked to respond to the question "what are your hopes for the future?" as part of a recorded interview. The project can be viewed as a vignette of the here and now, a modern snapshot of a community and the surrounding area and a look towards an uncertain future.
