Working in collaboration with Art with Heart, a Manchester-based theatre and arts company, I was commissioned to create portraits during a series of workshops with a community group of seniors living in Rochdale.
The portraits were based around the theme of retirement in a bid to challenge perceptions of our ageing population and to provide an alternative to the crop of stock images around the same theme. The images went on to tour as part of the Golden Years Caravan around Greater Manchester allowing thousands of people to engage with the project.
